Design Tip
Interior doors are typically painted the same color as the interior trim. If you want to add contrast to a room while keeping the neutral color palette on the walls, adding the interior design package of darker interior doors is a great way to add visual interest to the room…from basic to glam…

Design Tip
On a budget but want to add some glam to your kitchen? Consider the full backsplash tile option with either a laminate or solid surface countertop. This feature adds an inexpensive way to finish off the walls between the countertop and upper cabinets and as an added benefit, it is easier to maintain instead of the painted wall above the stove.

Design Tip
Prefer light flooring? It definitely shows less dirt. Consider bath and utility rooms that get heavy use to include a lighter colored vinyl or tile.

Design Tip
Want to make your style a bit more traditional? Consider adding the upgraded trim package in the formal areas. Wood molding around the windows creates a luxurious feel to the rooms that are perfect for entertaining. You may be surprised to learn that dark flooring can help to make your room look larger. Darker flooring offers an inviting feel, opens up a space and tends to be more stylish and hide imperfections... Consider pairing it with a light wall color or light-colored painted cabinets and the space will appear much bigger than it is.

Design Tip
Considering adding a can light or two (or LED depending on what we offer) in a hallway, pantry, or under-cabinet lights. Just one or two extras in the spaces that are important to you, can make a big difference.

Design Tip
Quartz is a factory-made product and in turn, has more color consistency. It is a very durable product but can be damaged if hot pans are placed directly on the surface. Granite is a natural stone product and has more variation in patterns and consistency. Granite is a very durable surface but does require an annual grout sealer due to the porous nature of the product. If you want a very sleek, modern home, quartz tends to provide a more neutral option complementing dark wood or painted cabinet choices. A more traditional home lends itself to the quartz quite well and works well with wood stained cabinets. If you prefer granite but are drawn to a contemporary style, choose white or almond painted cabinets and a neutral backsplash and add quartz to make a statement to your kitchen.

Design Tip
Did you know that the carpet pad is just as important as the carpet? The pad extends the life of your carpet by preventing the fibers from being crushed. The pad also acts and accentuates the cushion feel in your carpet.

Design Tip
Trying to decide? Hardwood floors tend to add sophistication and elegance to the space. They can be refinished down the road if you want to change the look of your home. Laminate flooring is stylish yet very durable and is a good alternative for pets and kids.
